This policy explains what information Austin Car Key Experts collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you call us, submit a quote request or book a service, we collect your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details and service location. For all-keys-lost and lockout work we also inspect — but do not retain copies of — identification and proof of vehicle ownership as required by Texas law.
How we use your information
We use your details solely to quote, dispatch, perform and invoice locksmith services, to contact you about a job in progress, and to honour warranty claims. We may retain a record of key profiles for fleet and account customers who ask us to.
Information we never sell
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not share your details with marketing companies, lead brokers or data aggregators.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors — payment providers, telephony and dispatch software, and email delivery — who receive only what is necessary to perform their function and are contractually bound to protect it.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies for basic functionality and privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of the site.
Data retention
Job records and invoices are retained for seven years as required for tax and warranty purposes. Quote requests that do not become jobs are deleted after twelve months.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Email contact@austincarkeyexperts.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is stored on access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never stored by us.
