The terms that govern our locksmith services and your use of this website.
Acceptance of terms
By requesting or receiving services from Austin Car Key Experts, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Proof of ownership
Texas law and our own policy require that we verify you are the owner of, or are authorised to access, any vehicle or property we open or key. Acceptable documents include photo identification together with vehicle registration, title or an insurance card matching the VIN. We reserve the right to decline any job where ownership cannot be established.
Quotations and pricing
Prices quoted by telephone are based on the information you provide. Where the vehicle or situation materially differs from that description, we will re-quote before beginning work and you may decline at no cost beyond any agreed call-out fee.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless you hold an approved account. We accept card, tap-to-pay and mobile wallets. Account customers are invoiced on agreed terms.
Warranty
Parts we supply and programming labour we perform are warranted for 90 days against defect. The warranty does not cover physical damage, water ingress, loss, theft, or faults arising from a third party working on the same system afterwards.
Limitation of liability
We carry full liability insurance and stand behind our work. Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the service performed, except where a greater liability is imposed by law. We are not liable for consequential losses such as missed appointments, lost earnings or rental costs.
Non-destructive methods
We use non-destructive techniques wherever practicable. In the rare case where a lock must be drilled, we will explain why, quote the replacement cost, and proceed only with your explicit agreement.
Cancellations
You may cancel a dispatched technician at any time before work begins. A call-out fee may apply if the technician has already arrived on site.
Service area and response times
Response times published on this website are typical estimates based on historic performance and are not guarantees. Traffic, weather and demand can affect arrival.

Governing law
